Interesting Fact:

The story goes that Earl Grey, the British prime minister from 1830-1834 , was given cases of this tea by a Chinese Mandarin. He liked it so much he brought it home and asked Twinings to recreate it for him. Today, you can see the Earl Grey VII’s signature on every box of Twinings Earl Grey, authenticating that Twinings was the original blender of the Earl Grey Tea.
